In 2004, director Shane Carruth made his debut with the mind-bending, scientifically accurate and shocking time travel film Primer.

Since then, he’s been biding his time working on his follow-up, and even served as a consultant for the time travel concepts of the film Looper.

But now, he’s ready to unveil his next film.

Debuting at Sundance 2013, here is the first teaser trailer for Upstream Color.

The teaser is discomforting, entrancing, and tells you really nothing about the film…yet, I couldn’t help but be completely intrigued by it. I tried to see if the film synopsis for Sundance gave us anything more, but…nope.  I am almost reminded of how I felt after seeing the Tree of Life teaser. I still need to see that…
