Just takes a little bit of buzz to get things going these days, I suppose.

Remember how yesterday I was just writing about the awesome concept art for Oblivion, the next movie from director Joseph Kosinski, who helmed Tron Legacy? I’m not sure if they’re related, but no sooner does Oblivion start to get press, than Disney announces that Tron 3 is back in development.

In a scoop which was exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s being said that the script, which has gone through a number of revisions, is back in development under writer Jesse Wigutow.

Wigutow has yet to have a script hit the screen, but he’s worked on a number of Disney projects, including an adaptation of Peter and the Starcatchers, and a film called Parallel. In the “this may break bad” department, he also worked on the ill-fated script for the remake of The Crow. Joseph Kosinski is still attached to direct.

Time will tell if the family Flynn will find their way back onto the screen again, or if this is just another movement toward Development Hell.
