No one would blame you if you thought that this week’s release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey would result in a poster from Mondo. However, they decided to take a little bit of a left turn from that, and based on what we’re getting - I think it’s totally worth it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you The Lord of the Rings as envisioned by Olly Moss.

Moss has long been one of the most beloved members of the Mondo artist stable, and this really is some of his finest work, which given his past pieces (such as My Neighbor Totoro, the Star Wars Trilogy and those amazing Captain America posters) is truly saying something.

The regular edition is a 15"x36" print (good luck, framers!), limited to a run of 580 pieces for $50.

Variant hunters will want the orange variant (above), limited to 285 prints for $90.

This poster goes on sale tomorrow, December 13th at a random time. Keep an eye on @MondoNews for the drop.
