Guillermo del Toro Jumps Aboard DC's Dark Universe!
It looks like the Internet once again got it’s way.  I’m not sure where the trend started (I do know it lead to the casting of Mark Wahlberg in Transformers 4), but Warner Bros has turned rumor into reality as Guillermo del Toro has confirmed to IGN that he is working on a DC Comics movie based in their “Dark Universe”.
Spoken about earlier this year, the rumor was denied by del Toro (but followed up by stating that he would be interested in such a project), and now it seems he will be overseeing a film uniting the fates of DC Comic’s batch of dark magic based characters, including Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Deadman, Etrigan the Demon, The Spectre and Zatanna.
Of course, the next question will be, “Where does this fit on Guillermo’s plate?”, as  he has many other projects on the burner, but if there’s any man to oversee this unique comic film, I think we can all agree it’s him.
We’ll keep an eye on this story and update you as we know more.
