Yesterday, this announcement teaser hit Sony’s website, teasing an event called the “PlayStation Meeting 2013”, set for 6pm EST on Wednesday, February 20th.

What’s it all about? There’s no official word, but according to The Wall Street Journal, we’ll be seeing the official announcement of the PlayStation 4, currently nicknamed “Orbis”.  According to their sources, not only will this be the unveiling of the new system, it’s not going to be the only new system we see this year, as Microsoft is apparently preparing their Xbox successor - with both systems aiming for a Holiday 2013 release.

Some, including myself, may ask if the video gaming public is frothing with demand for a new system (even if the consoles are roughly seven years old) but regardless, we’ll be seeing something “important” on the 20th.
