Marvel Studios journey into the stars with Guardians of the Galaxy continues to load up on eclectic talent.  With the unique choice of director in Slither’s James Gunn and lead actor in Parks & Recreation’s Chris Pratt, fans shouldn’t be surprised to see another unusual selection added to the mix.

Joining the cast as the green warrior known as Drax the Destroyer is former WWE star Dave Bautista.

Bautista, who also moonlights in MMA, was last seen on screen in the RZA’s directorial debut The Man With The Iron Fists.  Suffice to say, Bautista has history of being a shirtless musclebound dude, only now he will be green.

Guardians of the Galaxy is set for an August 1st, 2014 release.
