Yesterday, some teaser images circulated around the web regarding a brand new comic from writer Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Y: The Last Man) with beautifully rendered art from Marcos Martin (Daredevil, Amazing Spider-Man).

Today, to the shock and surprise of everyone, they’ve released it themselves, online.

Titled The Private Eye, the first issue has hit the web at PanelSyndicate.com.

The comic is described as follows:

Set in a future where privacy is considered a sacred right and everyone has a secret identity, The Private Eye is a serialized sci-fi detective story for mature readers.
Set for a 10 issue run, the 32-page comic is being offered in a DRM free PDF, CBR or CBZ format, at a Radiohead-style cost of Name Your Own Price.

Don’t let them down, Internet. I’ll be snapping up a copy ASAP.
