While details remain sketchy at best about the film’s plot, director Christopher Nolan isn’t afraid about letting us know about the cast he’s assembling for his next film - Interstellar.

As always, he seems to be leaning on a mix of actors he’s worked with alongside some bigger names which he’s yet to work with.

On the new side, we have the prospective lead for the film, to be played by Matthew McConaughey.  McConaughey is kind of a left field reveal for me, as I never thought I’d see his acting style mesh with a director like Nolan.  That said, McConaughey has built quite the impressive resume over the past year, with critically acclaimed turns in Magic Mike, Killer Joe and The Lincoln Lawyer.

On the returning side? Catwoman herself, Anne Hathaway is said to be joining the cast.  No real surprise here, as you can tell from The Dark Knight Rises that Nolan brings something unique out of the Oscar winner, and honestly, there are few directors who seem to bring both the critical praise and box office success which Nolan does.  It’s a smart move.

Now to see how they find a way to work Michael Caine into things.

Interstellar invades the galaxy on November 7th, 2014.
