As we look down the pike to Marvel Studios Phase 2 (starting in two weeks with Iron Man 3), it should come as little surprise that Marvel is already working towards Phase 3.

One of the characters being considered? Doctor Strange.

And if the sources at CHUD are correct, Marvel Studios already has a man in mind…

Justin Theroux.

The screenwriter (responsible for Iron Man 2) and actor (who you may recall from Wonderlust) and also Mr. Jennifer Aniston is apparently right in Marvel’s sights to become Stephen Strange and don the Eye of Agamotto.

No word on a tentative release date, but it’s interesting to see Marvel reaching out to the more surreal and fantastical parts of the Marvel Universe.
