Christopher Nolan continues to build a fantastic cast of talent for his next, top-secret film, Interstellar.  The first two names out, Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, features his standard casting touch of mixing credible actors with his roster of favorites, and the additional names announced over the weekend certainly fit that mold.

First, Deadline.com reports that Zero Dark Thirty‘s Jessica Chastain has joined the crew of Interstellar as the “third lead”. Given her current high profile and string of Oscar nominations, this certainly bodes well for the movie’s prospects, both critically and commercially.

Also added to the cast…raise your hand if you’re surprised…Michael Caine.  This will mark Nolan’s sixth film with Caine. Caine has become the John Ratzenberger of Christopher Nolan films, having appeared in every one since 2005’s Batman Begins.

Interstellar is set for a November 7, 2014 release.
