Earlier this week, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas faced criticism for their statement that tickets for blockbuster films may reach $25 to match continued increases in budgets. We may be seeing this predicted future come to life already.

In a move which, if successful, may change the way big name films are marketed, Paramout Pictures has announced a “Mega Ticket” available for World War Z.

Available at only 5 Regal Cinema locations in Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta and San Diego, the $50 ticket offers fans the chance to see the Brad Pitt starring zombie film two days early (June 19th as opposed to June 21st), plus the following perks…

-A digital copy of the film once available (vendor not specified - I’d assume it’s an UltraViolet copy).

-Custom World War Z 3D glasses.

-A limited edition poster.

-A small popcorn.

So, would this be enough for you to drop $50? If not, what would you need to do so? Personally, I’d love to see a blu-ray copy offered.

World War Z drops on June 21st.
