USA Today picks up a big comics scoop this morning as Marvel announces another installment in their Marvel OGN line of stand alone graphic novels (following October’s Avengers: Endless Wartime).  This time, the focus is Peter Parker, the Amazing Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Family Business.

Co-written by Mark Waid (Daredevil) and James Robinson (Starman), with beautiful painted art by Gabrielle Dell’Otto, the book is set for a  May 2014 release, and pits Spider-Man in a spy story of sorts, where not only is the Kingpin crashing down on him, but he’s learning more about his secret agent parents and discovers…he may have a sister?

USA Today’s article includes a great interview with Mark Waid, and confirms one key detail - this is a pre-Superior Spider-Man. So no Spider-Ock here.
