I hope you weren’t planning your fall around the release of the long awaited Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

Originally set for a release on October 4th, the film has been pushed almost a year back, now releasing on August 22nd, 2014.

While the reason for the delay isn’t known at this time, I wouldn’t be shocked if the delay is to allow for director Robert Rodriguez the appropriate time to complete and promote Machete Kills, which releases in September, just a month before Sin City 2’s original date.  If anything, this explains the general radio silence surrounding the film.

It’s a bad year for Frank Miller related films, with both this and 300: Rise of an Empire moved to 2014, after being set for releases this year.
