As seems to be the standard these days, once DC Comics cancels one title, another appears in its place. We saw earlier this week that the #2 comic company would be focusing on the superhero romance with Superman/Wonder Woman in October, but also launching this fall is a look into the future with Justice League 3000.

Set in, appropriately, the 31st Century, the book reteams the 1980’s Justice League creative team of writers Keith Giffen and JM DeMatteis with artist Kevin Maguire, so you can assume that the comic won’t take itself too seriously.

As always, a new set of heroes needs a new set of costumes, and appropriately enough, DC has gone to Justice League royalty with artist Howard Porter providing the new looks, who drew the classic mid-90’s run of JLA with writer Grant Morrison. I honestly really like the redesigns (featured below), and can’t wait to see them in action.

That’s right, folks, I’m excited for a DC Comics title. Mark it down.
