Breaking news from Marvel Studios - ending weeks of worry, Robert Downey Jr. has signed on for two more appearances as Tony Stark, better known as Iron Man.

His contract brings him into the fold for both The Avengers 2 (set for May 2015) and The Avengers 3.

No word on the financial terms, but given that The Avengers earned $1.5 Billion in box office and Iron Man 3 has earned $1.2 Billion and counting, I’m sure RDJ has earned himself a pretty penny - and is totally worth it.
