A sequel to perhaps one of the most surprisingly fun animated adaptations of the past few years, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 kicks off the fall movie season this September.

Accordingly, Sony Pictures has released a second trailer for the film, giving us a bit more of the plot.  The movie is almost a food based version of Jurassic Park this time around, as inventor Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) returns to Swallow Falls to see what havoc his FLDSMDFR hath brought. And that havoc is the pun filled creatures known as the Foodimals.  Check it out.

The movie, despite losing the direction of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, seems to have retained its silly, irreverent feel and should be worth a breezy matinee showing, at the least. Even if they have lost Mr. T in the voice cast.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 hits theaters on September 27th.
