I certainly never saw this coming - announced today by Capcom, the classic arcade and later Genesis game Strider will return with a brand new adventure in 2014!

Set for digital release for PS3, PS4, 360, XBox One, and PC, the 2.5D title is a “Metroidvania” sort, meaning loads of exploration while you fight off horde after horde of bad guy.

Last seen in the Marvel Vs. Capcom series, this is the first solo Strider title since Strider 2 for the Sony PlayStation back in 2000 (one of my favorite games ever, seriously).
