It seems the big move for the two biggest movie panels this weekend at San Diego Comic Con was very simple - pull a Steve Jobs and wow them with “One Last Thing…”.

We’ll be covering Warner Bros' big move in just a moment, but Marvel’s, in my eyes at least, is the more interesting of the two, as the possibilities are a bit more open.

After a jam-packed fan pleasing panel which included a surprise opening from Tom Hiddleston in character as Loki, some great footage from Thor: The Dark World, some great Q&A and apparently action-packed footage from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the surprise appearance of the entire Guardians of the Galaxy cast, all the way from London, one man took the stage.  That man? Joss Whedon.

The current “architect” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been dropping hints in the press lately about how he intended to follow up the massive blockbuster The Avengers, and with one title screen, he laid his plans bare.

The title? You’ve seen it at the top of this post…The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ultron, arguably one of the longest running rogues for The Avengers will come to life on screen in 2015, and given that Whedon has since claimed that Hank Pym will not be involved, literally anything can and will happen. And you know what? I like this unpredictability.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1st, 2015.
