While the world seems to have universally agreed that the first teaser posters for X-Men: First Class were god awful, Fox is making sure that the posters for X-Men: Days of Future Past do not suffer the same fate!

The film, which is either X-Men: First Class 2, X-Men 4 or the 7th film in the X-Men franchise (if you include both Wolverine films), mashes up the original Bryan Singer team with the swingin' 60’s team found in 2011’s fantastic relaunch of the franchise.

In turn, these posters focus on Professor Xavier and Magneto, both as they are now (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) and then (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender). It’s incredibly effective, and if the word out of SDCC is any indication, I cannot wait to see what the first trailer holds.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on May 23rd, 2014.
