One of the finest things Netflix has given to my life was my first viewing of the sublime BBC remake of Sherlock.

Starring everyone’s current favorite Brit Benedict Cumberbatch (take THAT, royal baby!), the series has been an amazing watch for two seasons, and with Cumberbatch’s current high profile, Martin Freeman’s worldwide appeal as a Hobbit, and the incredible cliffhanger of Season 2, fans everywhere cannot wait to see what Steven Moffat has in store for a third go-around.

In the first official image from this season, it appears they wish to share villainy with us first, as producer Sue Vertue tweeted a look at Sherlock’s first antagonist for the season -  Charles Augustus Magnussen.

Being played by Lars Mikkelsen, older brother to Hannibal’s Mads, the character is apparently a riff on the original Charles Augustus Milverton.

No air date is currently set for Sherlock Season 3, but word is this fall.
