You probably knew this was coming the minute that you walked out of the theater, but on November 5th, Warner Bros will be releasing the extended edition of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Adding 13 minutes to the film, this extends the movies length to a whopping three hours and two minutes.

Sayeth director Peter Jackson about this new cut:

"I'm thrilled that the Extended Edition will give fans the opportunity to experience certain key scenes in the film as they were originally shot, as well as an abundance of special features," said Jackson. "It's exciting to present this expanded and enriched version of An Unexpected Journey to allow fans to fully immerse themselves in the movie, before seeing the second part of the trilogy."
The 2D Blu-Ray edition is 3 discs, with the movie split onto two discs, and the extras making up a third. The 3D Blu-Ray adds an additional two 3D discs, making for five discs total.
