The Mondo Gallery continues its run as a fantastic place for pop culture based art shows this weekend as it becomes home to a solo show from artist Jason Edmiston.

Edmiston’s art is beautiful and attention grabbing and with his show, titled A Rogues Gallery, he turns his brush towards the classic villains of the films of the 1980’s.

With each piece intended to serve as a portrait of these dark souls, the art grabs your eyes and never lets go.  I’m particularly fond of the Zod and They Live pieces.  Check out a sample gallery below.

The show kicks off tomorrow night, August 23rd and runs through September 14th.  The original art for all pieces, and selected prints will be available for sale.

The Mondo Gallery is located at 4115 Guadalupe Street in Austin, Texas.
