It seems like such an obvious combination, building block toys and 8-bit styled designs, but as far as I know, this new set from Kawada, the Japanese company behind NanoBlocks (think smaller LEGO) is the first official set to make gaming pixel art come to life.

Licensed by Capcom, this RockMan set (or Mega Man, as we know him) kicks off with two building sets - the Blue Bomber himself, and one of the many robot masters he’s taken down over his 25 year career - Cut Man.

As you can see in the gallery below, the final kits are pixel accurate, come with some fun character related accessories, and can be built in both stationary and attacking formats.  Pretty rad, right?

Retailing for 1800 Yen (importers are selling them for between $18-$24 online), these sets should hit shelves in November of this year.
