This may be one of those things that only appeals to me, but hey, that’s what this blog is about - sharing the things that we enjoy.

Last Fall, while taking a trip to New York, I discovered an absolutely hilarious book called I Not Dead. Written and illustrated by Graham Roumieu, this was the third part of a trilogy of books “written” by Bigfoot, who not only took the time to clarify his place in the world, but also the misconceptions around him.

The art was surreal, but the storytelling hilarious. I promptly was gifted the first book, In Me Own Words, for my birthday by my girlfriend, and have since picked up I Not Dead, along with the second part, Me Write Book.

They’re hilarious, they’re weird, and in an announcement I never expected, Deadline.com announced yesterday that a pilot has been greenlit by FX for a full on Bigfoot animated series.

Written by Matt McKenna (American Dad) and executive produced by Seth Rogen, the series will extend the story idea into an ongoing tale, and presumably will retain Roumieu’s unique visual style.

Since this is just a greenlight for a pilot, it’s early to say when (and if) the series will premiere, but I am very excited.
