Just announced officially by Marvel Studios, after some lengthy rumors, it’s officially official, Bradley Cooper will be the voice for the CG animated space fightin' raccoon, Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy.

This is Bradley Cooper’s first superhero related role, and tops off an amazing year for the actor, who will next be seen on screen in this Christmas’ American Hustle.

Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters on August 1st, 2014.
