In what is a clear sign of Sony Pictures' commitment to the future of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise, it’s been reported today that writers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner have been asked back to write the third installment of the franchise.

Rumors place The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as the beginning of a story-arc which continues into a third and fourth film. Keeping the creative team throughout will be key to stick the landing - provided the second is as good, if not better than the first. Otherwise, get ready for three bad films.
