Announced at San Diego Comic Con this past Summer, Mattel is showcasing the protoypes of their forthcoming DC Multiverse 4” action figure line at New York Comic Con this weekend.

The always awesome Comics Alliance posted some photos from Mattel’s booth, and they showcase figures from the 1989 Batman, 1978 Superman, 1980 Superman II and yes, even 1992’s Batman Returns.

Some of the details look off (the Bruce Wayne headsculpt for the ‘89 Batman looks soft, and the S logo on the Reeves era Superman looks lumpy), but as a whole, if the final figures look half as good as the prototypes, this could be a great line. Check out the full gallery at the link above.
