These Steam Machines, running a unique “Steam OS” (an off-shoot of Linux), will allow for ever upgradable gaming, as the “consoles” are more customized PCs.

With prices varying from $500-$6,000, and designs which vary from looking like consoles, to looking like PCs, to…whatever that is above, it’s clear that PC gaming will still prove more expensive than console gaming, but I could see this breaking certain barriers of entry for those who wish to game, but don’t wish to build their own PCs (or use Windows).

I just wish Valve would go Google and give us the “Nexus” of Steam Machines…
