It’s one of those news stories that as soon as you hear it, makes perfect sense.

After years - nay, decades - of hype and rumors (mostly spun by Dan Ackroyd), Sony Pictures is finally moving forward with Ghostbusters 3.

However, it seems the movie will not - perhaps due to the recent passing of Harold Ramis - continue on with director Ivan Reitman.

According to the Twitter of Hollywood rumor monger Nikki Finke, the current duo being pursued for the director’s chair will completely turn you around on the project…

…Phil Miller and Chris Lord.

They made 21 Jump Street great. They made The LEGO Movie great. Can they overcome the hype and fear and make Ghostbusters 3 worth a watch?  I’ve rarely wanted a rumor to pan out more.
