Following up with the full season pickup for Gotham on Fox, it looks like the run of high profile DC Comics based TV series will continue for the 2014-2015 Season, as three additional series were picked up yesterday.

To the surprise of few, The CW has picked up The Flash, the latest superhero series from the producers of Arrow. Barry Allen will be running all around our screens this Fall, the first major attempt to give The Flash his own series since the 1990 CBS Show.

In addition, the CW has formally picked up iZombie, based off of the short-lived Vertigo series by Chris Robinson and Michael Allred, about a young girl - who also happens to be a zombie - who seeks justice for the memories she receives after eating brains. It’s kind of a crazy hybrid of The Walking Dead, Pushing Daisies and Veronica Mars. Coincidentally, the show will be produced by Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas.

Last, but far from least, NBC has announced their pick-up of Constantine, based off of the classic comic Hellblazer. Starring Matt Ryan (Criminal Minds) as the titular John Constantine - a demon hunter - this marks the second attempt to bring the character to life, following the 2005 Keanu Reeves film.

So, are you excited, nerds? The superhero world is hitting TV like a freight train!
