It’s arguably one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood, as it’s been rumored for some time, but overnight, HitFix has confirmed that Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) will appear as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before playing the role proper in Justice League.

It’s certainly a unique choice to play Arthur Curry, but also a very Zack Snyder-y pick.

According to Drew McWeeny at HitFix, the plan is for Aquaman to be particularly pissed off, given the way the World Engine wrecked the Indian Ocean in Man of Steel. Looks like Batman v Superman will be a film of consequence, and I - while still reserved about some of their choices - am looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
