Daily Blast: June 25th, 2014
We’re half way through the week, which means we’re just THAT much closer to the long-awaited weekend.
So, why not take a few minutes for yourself, sit back, relax and get caught up on the world of nerdy news.
It’s your Wednesday Daily Blast!
In today’s edition: word on how Interstellar’s going to be rolled out to theaters, the return of Predator, and possible cast members for the next Cohen Brothers movie!
Read on, you crazy diamond.
At the top of the post:  That’d be a Predator. Why? Looks like Predator will be getting a reboot courtesy of director Shane Black (Iron Man 3). He’ll be re-uniting with his old pal, Fred Dekker (Monster Squad) doing script duties.
Movies
[www.youtube.com/watch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwXFsrp6WBs)- The new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has released. While I’m getting more used to the Turtles designs (and starting to dig the Shredder design), something about the Turtles voices feels off to me.
- Ever the fan of proper IMAX presentation, director Christopher Nolan’s next film, Interstellar will be presented in a rare, 70mm film showing in roughly 50 theaters.
- Looks like Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton will join George Clooney and Josh Brolin in Hail, Ceasar!, the next film from the Coen Brothers. That’s an AWESOME cast.
- We’re getting a bit closer to a film adaptation of Ernie Cline’s pop-culture loving sci-fi novel, Ready Player One. Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand) has been brought in to take a pass on a script.
- Columbia Pictures has released this stark poster for their Brad Pitt starring World War II film, Fury, due this November.
- It looks like Sylvester Stallone will don the bandana one more time, for Rambo V. So long as he tears a dude’s throat out again, I’m so in.
TV
- Things are looking grim for a sixth season of cult-comedy favorite, Community.Comics
- Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo) has produced an awesome variant cover for Rocket Raccoon #2.
Food
- /Film recently got an early glimpse of the expansion to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando, and were nice enough to take a look at all the food for us! I’m down for that chocolate chili ice cream.
That’s all for today! Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you tomorrow, for a Thursday edition of the Daily Blast!
