Today, as promised, Lucasfilm made Black Friday a little brighter with the official release of the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the seventh installment of the Star Wars saga.

Due in December 2015, this will mark the first film in the Star Wars series since Revenge of the Sith in 2004, and acts as a sequel to 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

The trailer went live today via Apple’s trailer page, but has also been mirrored on YouTube, and we have it embedded for you below.

The teaser is just that, with an emphasis on tease. It’s just enough imagery to make a Star Wars fan go nutty. You get a glimpse of Attack The Block’s John Boyega in a Stormtrooper outfit, future-nerd-queen Daisy Ridley on a new-school speeder of some sort, an adorable orbed droid, the newly re-designed Stormtroopers (that leak was REAL!) our new big Sith baddie (with a weird broadsword style lightsaber), and in the money shots, new X-Wing and Millennium Falcon sequences!

It’s going to inspire hours of nerd debate and joy, and really, that’s all we need. Star Wars is back, and looks to be in the right hands with JJ Abrams.

Now to watch it thirty more times.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18th, 2015.
