So, yesterday afternoon, Bungie officially announced the latest expansion to their massive multiplayer online shooter Destiny, titled House of Wolves.

Due for a May 19th digital release, the announcement was matched with a really cool new cinematic trailer, seen below.

Now, the bummer of this is that it basically marks - I assume - the end of the first Destiny game, as this is the second of two expansion packs offered in the “season pass” sold to gamers.

At this point - how do I feel about Destiny? As the game that sold me a PS4, I’ve had a pretty enjoyable time with it - even though my stats, as a level 25 Hunter, would indicate I’m not the most hardcore of players.

That said, I - and many others - have felt similar frustrations with the game’s somewhat limited story mode leading into one giant grind fest. Yes, this is how most MMOs work, but I suppose I was looking forward to more of a Halo with HUGE online component, less a World of Warcraft with shooter elements.

Destiny has been a very fun game for me, and I’ll be joining the (far more leveled up) hordes on May 19th to play House of Wolves. But I’ll say that I’m even more excited to see how Bungie handles Destiny 2 - and I hope that it has a more significant story mode than Destiny did.
