You know what? I don’t hate this.

Sunday evening, Suicide Squad director David Ayers took to Twitter to once again reveal a characters look - or in this case, MOST characters looks for “Task Squad X", also known as the titular team with a death wish.

To my shock? The costumes are mostly pretty sensible and in line with the existing characters.

From left to right, we’ve got Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara (down below, kneeling) as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.

Definitely a better collection of costumes visually than the nightmare (literally and figuratively) that is Jared Leto’s Joker. Katana looks great, as does Captain Boomerang. Killer Croc may be too small but is otherwise A-OK, and I’m surprised at how subtle and decent Harley Quinn looks! The real surprise? Will Smith NOT being the man in front.

Congrats, Ayers. You’ve got my attention.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.

UPDATE: Thanks to Will Smith’s Facebook, we’ve got an official look at him in his mask as Deadshot. Still not bad. Although I wonder what that text around his neck says.
