Phil Lord and Chris Miller continue to create projects out of insane ideas. Clone High, 21 Jump Street, The LEGO Movie - they take things that don’t make sense on paper, and knock it out of the park.

This fall’s Son of Zorn is no different.

The high concept is basically as follows - what if He-Man, the cartoon character, had a normal, regular flesh and blood family?  And he was kinda screwing up as the head of the household?

Yeah - they’re seeing that ALL the way through on this show, which is an animation, live-action hybrid, starring Jason Sudeikis as the aforementioned Son of Zorn.

Lord and Miller did an interview with Entertainment Weekly about it, which included some fresh images. Here’s an except:

Adds fellow executive producer Phil Lord: “My favorite scenes are Zorn in the break room at his office, putting cream cheese on a bagel with a sword and talking to weird strangers. Even though he’s a wild character, it’s all just really well-observed, funny, strange details about our life. Because he’s a foreigner, he’s highlighting what is ridiculous about the way we all live."

Son of Zorn is set to debut on Fox in the 2016-2017 Television Season.
