Also from New York Comic Con this weekend - we finally got a look at the long-awaited Iron Fist series.

The fourth Netflix/Marvel jam, all on the way to the Defenders team up, Iron Fist follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the recently released Luke Cage as the next series to feature a unique street-level hero.

Who is Iron Fist? Here, I’ll let him explain.

That panel is from one of my favorite comics of all time, the Ed Brubaker/Matt Fraction/David Aja run of The Immortal Iron Fist, circa 2005. And that sort of thing is why I am so happy to see this series come to life.

The trailer for the series, which just finished filming last week, is full of all sorts of butt-kicking action, but I sure hope that they remember to find the humor and heart which made Iron Fist such a compelling character after decades of being a 70’s joke.
