After a long period of hype, rumors and scuttlebutt, Nintendo has finally taken the veil of mystery off of their latest video game console.

Welcome…the Nintendo Switch.

Just as rumored, the super secret console - previously called the NX - is a hybrid home console and handheld system.

The promotional video does a fantastic job of showcasing how easy it is (at least through the magic of an ad) to play a game at home, pull the tablet-esq handheld bit out of the dock, snap on some controllers and take your game anywhere. The video seems to take a page out of the Apple book, at least in terms of instead of showcasing the tech, it’s showing how you, the consumer, will use it.

The trailer seems to show that there are multiple controllers - the snap-on/snap-off variety, a “pro" style controller - and those controllers can even be used off of the “tablet", too.

We see some juicy glimpses of some games - the new Legend of Zelda, a Mario title, and I think that was Skyrim? - but nothing was officially confirmed today, besides the release date.

The Nintendo Switch will hit shelves in March 2017. Are you hyped?
