Sources tell Variety that Kristen Wiig is the top choice to play the villain role of Cheetah in the “Wonder Woman" sequel opposite Gal Gadot. Warner Bros. had no comment on the potential casting.
This is absolutely insane. I’ve known for some time that Wiig is an incredible dramatic actress in addition to her comic chops (see Welcome To Me and The Skeleton Twins), but this…this I’m not so sure about.

That said, Patty Jenkins knocked the first Wonder Woman out of the park, so maybe she knows something which I don’t.
