ComingSoon.net:

J.J. Abrams’ production company has been dominating the film and television industries for nearly two decades and they are now expanding to the video game industry with a new division entitled Bad Robot Games.

The production company announced today that it is partnering with Chinese media conglomerate Tencent to form the new division, which will be controlled and operated by Abrams to develop original games, with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment signing on as a minority investor.

If Bad Robot Games can bring things as remotely interesting as the track record of Annapurna Games (another film producer gone game producer), the Bad Robot brand will be one to keep an eye on.
