As promised yesterday, the veil has been removed and DC Comics’ streaming service “DC UNIVERSE" has been revealed ahead of San Diego Comic Con.

The rumors proved to be true, as this is a mixture of original content, classic DC animated series (for the first time in HD), Warner Bros superhero films (the classics, not the newer DCEU, yet), and the DC animated films, plus a “curated selection" of comics.

I think depending on the scope and size of the library of existing TV series, movies, and comics, this could be a big contender to Marvel’s “Marvel Unlimited" service. The draw of reading comics on a big screen is pretty cool - but the price really needs to be right.

You can sign up to be considered for the Beta today - check it out. I know I’ll give it a shot.
