A Tale of Two Foul-Mouthed Coming-of-Age Movies: BOOKSMART and GOOD BOYS Movies
Weird that both of these hit today, but here we are.
Booksmart is Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut, and seems to posit “What if Superbad, but Teenage Girls?“
To the same regard, we have a red-band trailer for Good Boys today, and that’s a Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg going which seems to ask “What if Superbad, but 6th Graders?“
Neither looks bad (I’m game to see either, but I think Booksmart looks better, but it’s just very weird that both hit on the same day.

Thankfully, their releases are spread out more - Booksmart hits on May 24th, with Good Boys arriving August 16th.
