Pat Gleason Jumps from DC to Marvel, Gives Us a Hint at the Future of the Marvel Comics Universe
Marvel Press Release:
Marvel Entertainment is excited to announce that artist Pat Gleason will bring his distinctive style and ideas to Marvel in an exclusive agreement! One of the most versatile creators in the comic industry, Gleason has lent his talent to numerous DC, Marvel, and Image properties over the years, helping to produce multiple New York Times best-selling books including Batman And Robin, Aquaman, Green Lantern Corps, JLA, and Welcome To The Working Week with Patton Oswalt.
Gleason, known for his striking dynamic art style, will be joining the incredible family of Spider-Man artists on today’s titles to bring the Marvel Universe to life, starting with a short story in Amazing Spider-Man #25 in July!
I’m excited about this as I loved Gleason’s work on Batman And Robin and most recently his run on Young Justice, but you had to know Marvel had to get all sneaky and make his promo image all sorts of Easter Egg filled.
Similarly to the Marvel Now! And All-New Marvel Now! announcement images, this look at a bunch of characters from the Marvel U has some hints as to where things are going.
I spot:
- A 90’s Styled Ghost Rider
- Some crazy ass wings on Venom
- The new Jane Foster Valkyrie
- Brown costumed Wolverine
- And is that female Loki on the right, complimenting Young Loki in the back?
What do you see?
