Marvel to License Characters for One Act Plays for High Schools
While Endgame may have marked a farewell to some heroes on the big screen, a handful of Marvel favorites will soon head to stages across the country. Theatre licensor Samuel French (a division of Concord Theatricals) has partnered with Marvel Entertainment to launch Marvel Spotlight, a collection of one-act plays showcasing beloved characters in situations relatable to young adult audiences.
The series currently features three available titles: Hammered: A Thor & Loki Play by Tony Award winner and noted comic enthusiast Christian Borle (in which the teenage brothers compete for the attention of their parents), Mirror of Most Value: A Ms. Marvel Play by Masi Asare (about self-penned fan fiction that goes too far), and Squirrel Girl Goes to College by Karen ZacarÁas (following Doreen Green as she attempts to live a low-key life at a new school).
Where the hell were these when I was in high school?
