As moviegoing slowly begins to rebound in the U.S., it appears Hollywood studios aren’t yet ready to release their biggest blockbuster hopefuls on the big screen.

All that is to say Disney has massively overhauled its upcoming slate and amended release plans for “Black Widow,“ “Cruella,“ Pixar’s “Luca" and several others.

Short version:

  • Black Widow is moving from May 7th, 2021 to July 9th, 2021, will now be a theatrical release and available day-and-date on Disney+ as a $30 Premier Access Title
  • Cruella remains on May 28th, 2021 will also hit Disney+ day-and-date as a Premier Access Title
  • Pixar’s Luca will not hit theaters at all, instead arriving on Disney+ at no additional charge on June 18th
  • Free Guy moves to August 13th, 2021, previously set for release on July 3rd, 2020, December 11th, 2020 and May 21st, 2021
  • The King’s Man moves to December 22nd, 2021, originally set for November 15th, 2019, then February 14th, 2020, then September 18th, 2020, then February 26th, 2021, then February 12th, 2021, then March 12th, 2021 then August 20th, 2021
  • Deep Water moves to January 14th, 2022, originally set for November 13th, 2020 then August 13th, 2021
  • Death on the Nile moves to February 11th, 2022, originally set for December 20th, 2019, then October 9th, 2020, then October 23rd, 2020, then December 18th, 2020, then September 17th, 2021
  • Finally, the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings moves to September 3rd, 2021, originally set for February 12th, 2021, then May 7th, 2021, and then July 9th, 2021.
