I admit, I came into this cold, curious about why it was such a major success in theaters (I’ll probably watch the Demon Slayer movies for similar reasons). As an old anime head, I try to keep my ear to the ground still.

In turn, I’m sure there’s a lot of context I’m missing. But hey, if well animated, violent horror romances are what the kids are into these days: good for the kids.
