It should come as little surprise that superb figure makers Hot Toys have a selection of San Diego Comic Con exclusive toys ready to hit the West Coast this weekend.

I’m featuring two of those figures today, which perfectly represent two of the better alternative costumes from recent comic book movies.

First up is the Captain America (Rescue Form Version). Designed after Chris Evans during the key moment where he goes from a glorified mascot to a true World War II hero, this figure is beautifully sculpted, and if you squint your eyes just right, it looks exactly like Chris Evans.

Supporting him in kind is an absolutely wonderful figure of Lt. Jim Gordon from The Dark Knight, in his SWAT Team outfit from the amazing double-cross on The Joker.  I believe this is Gordon’s first appearance in the Hot Toys figure line, and the first instance of a toy of him in the SWAT team outfit.  It really looks creepily like Gary Oldman!

If you are not able to make it to SDCC, you can pre-order at least one of them Sideshow Collectibles, with Captain America going for $220, and I’d imagine good ol' Jim Gordon will be coming down the line soon at a similar price.
