Given the working relationship between Mondo and Warner Bros over the past year, including amazing posters for The Dark Knight Rises, it probably shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that posters for Man of Steel would be coming from the Austin, TX based poster house.

Not only will we see one design curated by the firm, we’ll be seeing two, including one which you will undoubtably be able to get a copy of. Here’s what’s releasing this week.

Ken Taylor - Regular Edition
Ken Taylor – Regular Edition

First we have the above 36″x24″ print from artist Ken Taylor. Available in both standard and variant editions, these will go on sale on Thursday, June 13th. The standard edition is limited to a run of 300, for $50, with the limited set to a run of just 150 for $75.

Martin Ansin - Metal Edition

As for the second poster – that’s the more interesting story.  Illustrated by Martin Ansin, the metal variant (yes, printed on Metal) will be limited to a run of 100 24″x36″ prints, for $300. That will be released randomly on Friday, June 14th. But the standard edition? That is an open edition print. Starting at Midnight CST, the standard Ansin print will be on sale – all orders received over a 3 day period will be printed and shipped – just $50.  This follows in the footsteps of the open edition run of the Olly Moss Dark Knight Rises print last Summer, which saw over 10,000 copies printed. It will be interesting to see how fans react to the Man of Steel print.  Personally, I think both are breathtaking, and some of the best prints Mondo has done in some time.
