the over 4 million PS4 owners), Sony announced today during their CES presentation PlayStation Now.
PlayStation Now, the culmination of their partnership with Gaikai, allows users access to a library of classic PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 titles on the PS3, PS4, and even Sony televisions and tablets. This will be accomplished via streaming access to the games, a thus far uncharted realm in the world of games, attempted previously by the less than successful OnLive service.
Expect Beta testing later this month, with the service officially launching this Summer.
