Star Wars: Episode VII just started filming, and they’re already doling out parts for free.

Well, maybe free is the wrong word.

This morning, Disney, Lucasfilm and Bad Robot announced a combined effort to raise funds for UNICEF, in a campaign called “FORCE FOR CHANGE”.

They’re offering to those who donate – KickStarter style – a number of incentives for donating, including t-shirts, posters, and even a chance to see Episode VII a day early (just $50,000!), but really it’s about the kids. It’s truly a great cause.

Who am I kidding – it’s about us nerds, as HOLY CRAP THAT VIDEO SHOWS TATOOINE! AND THERE’S A NEW ALIEN! AND HE’S A PUPPET! NOT CG! OH MY GOD

Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters December 2015.
